The Space to Grow

A REINTRODUCTION TO FORE FOLK AND FIELD NOTES.

There’s something powerful about taking a pause. It’s often in the moments of stillness—when we step back from the constant motion of work and routine—that we find the clarity we’ve been searching for.

Fore Folk began in one of those rare pauses. Having worked since I was 16, I had never taken a real break—until maternity leave with my first daughter. It was the first time I was forced to slow down, to step away from the urgency of deadlines and deliverables. In that space, I found something I hadn’t expected: a renewed sense of purpose. The time away from the grind gave me perspective on what truly mattered—not just in life, but in the way I wanted to work. I realized that business could be built differently, that strategy and design could support a more sustainable way of growing—not one driven by constant content creation or burnout, but by connection, craftsmanship, and intention.

That belief became the foundation of Fore Folk. It’s why I do this work: to help small business owners create brands that don’t just look good but actually work for them—brands that support the business to fit the lives they’re creating, not the other way around.

Now, after years of refining our approach, I’m excited to share more with you here, in my  field notes—a collection of stories, insights, and projects from years in the field. Part case study, part conversation, field notes will be a place where we explore what it really takes to build something meaningful. We’ll highlight ideas worth implementing, share lessons learned along the way, and offer perspectives that help you find clarity in your own business journey.

Just like the studio itself, this space is about making room for what matters most. Because sometimes, the most impactful shifts happen when we step back and give ourselves the margin to grow.

I can’t wait to share more with you here.

Welcome to Field Notes.
