SPRING 2024

Sewickley Quarter

BRAND OVERVIEW:

Hannah was looking to refresh the entire brand identity of her event venue and restaurant space in the heart of Sewickley, PA. They specialize in intimate weddings and special events, while also having a restaurant on-site. Hannah wanted her new branding to feel cohesive and recognizable so that guests could easily understand the many facets they offer.

It was a creative challenge to find a way to blend the fun atmosphere of the French Quarter (the original inspiration for the space) with the elegant and romantic style weddings that they wanted more of. The interior design is an eclectic mix and was the inspiration behind many of the creative decisions of the identity.

Industry: Event Venue and Restaurant

When we were trying to nail down the smallest mark to represent the event space and the restaurant, I drew inspiration from the fountain, the leaves and life that circled the fountain in the event space while trying to tie in the flower of New Orleans (fleur-de-lis) which was the original inspiration for the space.

The primary goal of the website was to introduce engaged couples to all that the Sewickley Quarter has to offer without overwhelming them. We were able to do so on one page with an invitation to download a PDF that goes more into detail.

During the initial walkthrough of the space, I noticed this design (left) on the frame of the bed reserved for the wedding couple. We were later able to incorporate this subtle mark into the final design that tied the restaurant nicely with the event venue.

Some initial sketches for the mark.
